Also, I noticed that when using the search box on voice123.com there is no way of specifying NON UNION. You can choose "DOESN'T MATTER" but I take that to mean it doesn't matter whether your are union or not.
Which means if you select that option you would get union and non union mixed. As I'm sure most of you are aware, sometimes, you get situations where the ad agency is seeking NON UNION ONLY. I wrote them an email about it. No response thus far. Oh well. Enough already.
Nice to be here. |

Welcome to my nightmare, Christopher. After a fairly long and happy relationship, V123 and I agreed to a trial separation after that very same squabble.
It followed my effort to behave; to be a good and caring partner. When told I was auditioning too much, I took a three-week audition sabbatical. I was rewarded with a 52-point percentile loss and all but disappeared from the search function, only popping up somewhere between Marcel Marceau and Harpo Marx.
Damned if I did audition; and doubly damned when I didn't.
We're now happily divorced. She got the Seekers, but I kept my dignity.
(I can't help but notice she's still fooling around a lot...)

Interesting thread. I decided to go back and take a look and found this:
"One of the goals of Voice123 SmartCast is to maintain the fairness of the market place by distributing project invitations among all Voice123 talents and voice producers. Voice123 SmartCast gives preference to talents and voice producers that have submitted less auditions and proposals than average."
Yet they have all these "tips" to help you to get more invitations. Does seem counter-productive. I've been careful to craft my profile to get what suites my voice and my style, so I've taken maximum advantage of my trial membership and find myself at 440% above the normal - and why not if the material suits me? Even so, I rejected about half of the auditions sent me. Oh well, my trial is up anyway, it will be interesting to see if I get anything out of the work done.
