Hey Guys... I must say this is a first... boss said stay home. So here I am to bother all of you today. Layers of snow and ice pretty thick and heavy. Even (and this NEVER happens) Ohio State is closed.

This is the heaviest snow in the 7 years we've been here.

So I will be at home all day, I was yesterday as well.

We've got a whole gaggle of guys and gals from Ohio here!

Time for a non-reunion.

Sorry 'bout the snow - that's why I moved... oh, and there was a woman involved too (several, actually Twisted Evil )

I've been to Pataskala, used to live in Parma (near Cleveland), and lived in Newark and Columbus too. Still have family in Ohio.

So, here's an old Bugs Bunny joke for y'all.

Q: Why is Ohio like a mountain?
A: Because it's HI in the middle and Round on both ends! O-HI-O!
(from a vaudeville sketch with Elmer Fudd)

Off center,
Joe

My son is a huge Looney Tunes fan so I've heard that line a thousand times. Another from the same skit... "Wanna know how to make anti-freeze.... yeah, hide her nightgown!"

Indianapolis, Indiana Colin

Just got through digging out the drive way and side walks.

Now about to go to Sam's Club for lunch and get the Wife some stuff for V Day. Snowed in yesterday. Luckily she was here with me so I had a good excuse.

Got a neighbor with a great big snow blower who did all our immeidate neighbor's driveways. VERY nice of him. Gonna have to buy that boy some beer. It was hard too because in the middle of the snow was a one inch layer of ice.

Beer? Did you say beer?
Just for shovelling snow?
Hell, up here we shovel snow in August just to get to the cooler.
I'm on my way, Colin.....

Robert, you made me laugh out loud! It was a foot of snow with a layer cake effect of 1 inch of ice in the middle and he used a BIG snow blower. I've had a heart operation and my wife is pregnant and that crap was HEAVY. Beer is the least I can do for the guy. Besides, it's just good ole American brewed Bud Light, not that fancy Canadian Mooshead you drink.

God Bless Bud Light!

We had the same stuff here Colin, Sleet had to of come down for at least 8 - 10 hours yesterday.

After I got the drive way clean and was about to make a venture out, I had to get back out and knock down a burm that a snow plow had left after cleaning the streeet.

Happens everytime.

I was reading about your "big winter". My sister who lives in Bangor, PA also is home today to due some crazy ice storm. My parents live in Lady Lake Florida where 1.5 miles away from the tornado path. It appears this year is a record breaker!

Its nice to have great neighbors...

Here in Colorado, we're doing okay so far. We have one neighbor and he has taken is 4x4 up to our house a few times this year to clear a path for me while my husband was at work. Our driveway is about 1/2 mile long. If it weren't for his kindness (or just plain eagerness to have fun on his quad), I'd be stranded here and my kids would be stuck at school. I'm thankful for our great neighbor!

Its awful hard to clear snow with a baby in tow!

I think I know someone who lives in Divide. I was doing a trade show for Chinook Medical Gear, Inc and Mike Tayloe or simply "Tayloe" and I did a show in Keystone together. He is one of the advisors for Chinook. I know its a small town, but he and his wife are kind of Search & Rescue legends.

Your view is probably better in Divide, but I thought a little bit of Mancos would make you Colorado homesick. I know how we all get when we are away from our Mountains..... Very Happy
