Since I have had a bit more time to audition at Voices, I have landed two gigs there (well, one, an audiobook, is still in rate negotiation, and could easily slip away).

And this was a fun one at that. Direction was "1950's style black and white video presentation using some stock footage of ladies dressed up in the high end fashions of the 40's and 50's. The voice needs to have an articulate, high society sound with some driving energy to it."

All neatly wrapped in under 24 hours. Love those.

Thanks so very much, gentlemen, for the kind words.

However, John, my dear man, heavens no! I would never be seen in such plebeian attire! I had just enough time to throw this little outfit together before recording, with scant time to do up my hair properly -- ah, me!

But, one does have to look presentable for one's public, doesn't one?

Very nice! It has a certain Angela Lansbury vibe.

Thank you, all -- your words mean much to me.

And Lori, I'm glad you said that, because to get into a character I try to visualize her completely in order to physicalize her. Short of actually getting into costume, that does help.
