LOL!!! By coincidence I caught the 80's flick "Loverboy" on TV tonight. It features a young Patrick Dempsey as a pizza delivery boy, who ends up as a gigolo ("extra anchovies"...)
I haven't seen it in ages, and I'd totally forgot just how hillarious this movie is!!! And a little VO relation: it features our colleague E.G. Daily in a small role.
Trivia (from Wiki): Did you know Patrick Dempsey is dyslexic and unable to read a script? Wow...

My wife and I just wasted 2 hours of our lives tonight that we will never get back.
DO NOT, under any circumstances, waste your time with "THE PLEDGE".
OMG, what an utter and complete waste of time and talent. No story, really to speak of, other than an absurdly contrived story about a killer whose pattern is SO PREDICTABLE that the police can't figure it out but a little girl draws a picture of it. And then Jack Nicholson - in this abominably slow, draggy and utterly boring movie - never ever gets it, and ends up psycho at the end.
I have never been more bored by a movie or more mad at one for wasting my time.
This may, quite possibly, be just about the worst movie I've ever seen.

Diane Havens recommended this movie on page ONE of this thread and I must have added it to my NetFlix queue way back then based on her recommendation:
"ONCE"
Excellent! Simply excellent!!! Definitely two big thumbs up AND I'm going to try to find the soundtrack. Great movie.

I agree, Scott... saw it a couple of years ago, and were equally bored.
Instead, if you want to see something much more interesting with kind of the same theme, go rent "Gone Baby Gone".
Directed by Ben Afleck, but don't hold that against him!
It's really one of those movies that leaves you thinkin'....

I saw "Wanted" yesterday. I saw it because I had made a deal with the devil to see it before my movie-going partner would see WALL-E. I definitely got the short end of the stick. The trailers did their job; I seriously thought it could be worth watching. I mean both Angelina and Morgan Freeman couldn't both possibly sign on to do a POS, right? Wrong. Great, great premise. Even a good plot and story line there. Dialogue? Crap. Absolute crap. I've written the next bit in white so those who scroll past the post won't see the spoilers. If you really want to see the comment, just highlight below and the text will appear.
*****HERE THERE BE SPOILERS*****
And any movie that has a "Loom of Fate" and where the deus ex machina is rats who have ingested gasoline is doomed to failure!

Just rewatched one of my very, very, VERY favorite movies tonight and I'd forgotten just how much I truly love it. I'd say I'd have to put it in my top FIVE all-time favorites now:
Stranger than Fiction.
