I have a few upcoming live shows in the Atlanta area, for any interested.

I know Scott Pollak's got one down on the south side of the city in Newnan too at http://www.newnantheatre.com/ ...And I'm sure he'll chime in to plug details on that.

On Saturday, May 14th, I'm participating in a talent show in Lawrenceville hosted by The Actors Scene. I've been a finalist in two previous shows The Actors Scene has hosted (won a package of free pro headshots from one of them), and their acting coaches there have done some great things for my career. I'm mainly doing the show because one of the judges is with an agency I've been wanting to get representation with. I've entered categories for standup comedy, monologue, and singing and will be doing a minute's worth of each.

Showtime is 5PM, and it's being held at at Christian City Church at 1035 Walther Blvd, Lawrenceville GA, 30043

On Friday, May 20th, I'll be performing for the third time in a dinner theater comedy show called Frankie & Gina's Comedy Wedding. I play Johnny Diamond, a Frank Sinatra-style crooner/wedding singer and I also serve as the show's "Room Captain." I'll be singing 7 "ol' Blue Eyes" standards, and a couple bonus songs as well.

Doors and cash bar opens at 7PM, and the ceremony starts at 7:45. Ticket price is pricey at $65, but includes a full gourmet meal, salad, drink, and dessert, in addition to the floor show. The show is also very audience-interactive, and dancing and other participation is highly encouraged. It's possible I might be able to get you a discount on tickets, but PM me on that for info.

Now, I don't have specific dates for this yet, but like I mentioned in this thread I just landed a gig as a performer for a one-man show based on Southern humorist and author Lewis Grizzard. And while there's currently only one show date scheduled between May and next January (August 27th, in Nashville, TN), that's another reason I've been hired--to assist in marketing, promotions, and booking for the show.

Between May and August, I should be doing the show at some smaller venues in the Atlanta area. I'll post updates to this thread whenever those dates have been finalized, for anyone who'd like to come.

And finally, it's possible I'll be doing a comedy-variety show at Dragon*Con sometime Labor Day weekend (August 29-September 1st). Haven't finalized the details yet, but it looks like it will happen. I'll be doing about an hour of genre-related comedy monologues, music parodies, and impressions. Should be fun.

Great stuff, Craig! If I can't make it to Dragon*con this year (and it's a great event) I'll make sure that my friends who do attend check out your performance.

I won 2nd place at the Talent Show, and my prize was a "1-look photoshoot with make-up artist." I also got callbacks from two of the judges for representation with two more agencies. One of them is with Elite Atlanta, which I actually had an interview with three years ago, but they wanted headshots and I had none at the time.

Then I got headshots, and I wasn't happy with them. I'd been wanting to get some new ones.

But Elite having a rep there was the whole reason I did the show to begin with, as I mentioned previously. So my $28 investment (entering two categories @ $10 each, plus my wife's ticket to see the show) paid off in spades.

I have another Atlanta-area gig I'm working on, but it's still too early to post details on it.

I sang in a Gospel benefit concert this past Saturday near Commerce, but didn't have enough notice to plug it here.

There's another show scheduled for Frankie & Gina's Comedy Wedding Saturday July 26th at LIT Kitchen in Atlanta, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to be in that show as my father-in-law is getting remarried that same evening and I was asked to be an usher in it long before I was involved in the dinner theater show. Previous shows have always been on Friday nights and I assumed this one would be too. Oh well.

I'm performing for a private event July 11th, but I don't believe I want any of my friends to be there for that one as it's a costumed character gig for a kid's birthday party.

Have a few other gigs in development for between now and September (the month, that is Smile ), but we'll have to see how they pan out.
