Woo-hoo! Summer actually arrived in my neck of the woods this weekend. It is infinitely harder to stay in my cell when it is so gorgeous out.

Unfortunately, I got burnt to a crisp opening up the pool. Don't be fooled, despite my ultra-suave demeanor and killer dance moves, I am actually from outrageously whitebread stock. I am like a fork in a microwave out there. The pool looks like a damn lagoon but it will clear up with some chemicals so it was worth it.

I have to cut up some limes for my Coronas and.....

Look at me, using this opportunity to prattle on about myself again. How have you been? Any leads to read for us?

Thanks for sharing, Erik -- yeah, it's hot out there. And just the other day I was thinking ya know, I need a voice guy that is whitebreadish and narcissistic to do a spot about a lagoon. So great tagging!

Alas, no leads for me all weekend, so no reads either.

Ah, but here's one I did last week, most probably one of my last here for a while.

Nice read, Diane. Very professional and yet warm.

Is this due to an abundant lack of leads or are you disgruntled (as many others seem to be)?

One from another site. No idea how it'll fare. Fun though.

Chris -- Love hearing your voice here -- we don't hear enough from you! Not surprisingly, it's so... musical!

Dave - Thanks. It scored well -- well above the average, so high-five me!
Well, I am not going to use the word disgruntled, because I am not going to get all drama queenie over it, but my subscription is up this week, and I think I need a little break from V123. I am not getting enough of the kinds of leads I'm looking for, and the private leads have stopped altogether -- I used to get those with some regularity -- and so I was leaning toward not renewing anyway. But this latest comedy of errors here has been the tipping point, I guess.
And really, I wouldn't care -- I've gotten some good gigs here over the past two years, but... I dunno. I just think at this point in our relationship, we should just see other people for a while.

So what you're saying to Voice123 is, "It's not you. It's me." fliehen

Here's one I replied to frm Voices. Here's how the seeker described the project:

"3 minute video expressing need to be energy independent --

I need following voices - Rod Sterling, Howard Cosell, Vince Lombardi, Ronald Reagen & JFK. Reading will be from written script which will be provided later.

If you're able to impersonate any of these characters please submit a generic sample for review.
"

Since there was no sample script, I made up my own.

Diane--- can we still be friends?

Lee... nice job... especially the Reagan... that was sweet. I gave a Serling shot as well.

Dave -- Of course we can.

Very nice Serling -- authentic. I think Lee's was a bit broader, but you caught his subtle intonations well. If they are going for comic, they'll favor Lee's, I'll wager.

Diane,

Do you think it would help if a put the audio along with a home made "video" done with Windows Movie maker?
