I wasn't trying for Serling on "16 million" just a simillarly eery sound.

As is the case most of the time, I try to have fun with 123 auds so as not to have them be a total loss. If I have fun with them, I am getting something out of them and as they say... if you love what you do, you'll be good at it. Not everyone is going to like my "Cecil B. Demille" productions but they are a blast to create.

Here's the 16 million I submitted last night...

It has been opened... but not rated... which could mean a variety of things. Perhaps, since they appear to be a kind and generous seeker, they'd rather give no rating than a bad one. Laughing

Open to feedback from my VO Homies... your thoughts?

My guess, Dave? They never listened to it -- these nice people listen to 100 percent of all auditions all the time? Doubt it. They probably just delete the others after they find the voice they want.

Gee Diane. Thanks for bursting my bubble.

I'm going to believe they listen. Rarely do you see a seeker that have 100% "opened" rate.

Didn't mean to burst any bubbles, Caryn. Maybe they just got tired of rating them after a while?

Yeah... I think I was audition # ninety-something... pretty late in the game. And according to V123:

"Opened" could be playing back, downloading, rating, reading, or deleting your audition and/or proposal"

Could be....

Dave, they opened mine and it was a while before they rated it. Patience, my young Jedi... patience!

Wow, I've been waiting for an opportunity to post something here. I've rarely seen anything that I've auditioned for. I'm still pretty new, been doing this fulltime for 5 months. Anyway here's my version of the Top Ten LA gig...I got a 5... but then again everyone seemed to be rated pretty high. Have a great weekend everybody!

Scott/all - I quit looking at ratings, and my life is better for it. Very Happy I have determined that the "stats" in general are absolutely meaningless. Confused Either "they" hire me Very Happy or they don't Sad (...and "they" do quite frequently on this site. Very Happy ) So two things I don't do is look at stats anymore Very Happy - or post info on what I have booked over on "WGTG? Cool " But I do ocassionally post a "produced" audition on "L&R." Wink

Yes, Thom, beautifully eerie -- wow. (But, Thom, if you don't look at your ratings and tell us all, how will we know if you're really as good as we think you are? Wink Very Happy Smile Sad Surprised Laughing )

And since they cited Twilight Zone, that was a good way to go. However, since 4s and 5s were dispensed freely to disparate reads, ranging from straight and sincere to sexy, who knows what they had in mind.

I'd love to know who gets this one.

Thom - I will echo the sentiments of the others - great stuff - the production really sucked me in.

Marian, I was playing Thom's background track in my head while listening to yours and I thought you did a nice job on it too.

I either didn't see the lead or passed on it for some reason, but the copy was very interesting.
