Hi everyone,

Got this through:

Details:" Enjoyed your demo--we are an American talk radio show based in New York.

We launch in July and are looking for a show "voice" to do our sweeps and liners.

They average 10 seconds or less.

What would you charge per liner?"

Have no idea what to quote on this.

Anyone have any suggestions? All advice is gratefully received!

Nick

Nick,

I'd ask if they are on broadcast nationally, or just on in NYC? Or are they satellite? And if they're national, (but not satellite), how many affiliates and with what network?

I can tell you offline what each might go for, but in my experience, imaging rates are by per-page basis, or monthly retainer. PM me you think if I can be of help.

New York City or somewhere in New York State?

Liners for radio are done on a monthly retainer for a twleve month period.

NY City - $700 per month
Elswhere in the State - $300 per month

There's no one time fee for different length liners.

They should pay you monthly for every month they run. I've hired at least a dozen people this way in my 20 years as a radio PD.
This is how it's done.

Good luck.
