This may sound basic for some of you but I don't get it! There was a job posted today for voicemail and it required WAV file. After recording my demo using CUBASE, I mixed it down to WAV . It sounded bad when I listened to it...like a poorly tuned radio. I sent it anyway thinking they may be listening on something that makes it sound better. I got an email from voice 123 saying the quaility was bad...background noise! My question is, what do you do when someone requests something WAV file? Does this happen to everyone? Is it my software, equipment, or PC? I re-sent it MP3 which sounded great! I'm confused Could someone offer a 'non-technical' response? Thanks, Marilyn Taylor |

| My guess is that the settings for wav were rather low. What exactly are you using to record? Most of us I beleive set our systems to record at 44.1k 16bit . That's the default. Then we either do save as to an mp3 or convert to an mp3 with some external software. |
