RE: Seatbelts.
I would have given all you guys a better rating than mine... But they gave me a "3" - probably because I included the whistle SFX.

Lance, Travis, Scott, Lee, Jacob:
Buckle up, guys! Here comes my Seat Belt submission with accent, whistle and all. And the whistle didn't make a difference. Still got a 1. Makes me wonder what on earth this seeker was seeking.
Lance you were probably right. Maybe the seeker should have just recorded this one himself. Anyway, I still had fun doing it. Travis, I like your whistle better than mine. Eh, the musical one that is.
Shifting gears, I also gave the cancer care spot a try.

Okay, since I'm a nut and like a challenge I auditioned for this after all. It seems that I never deleted it. Hmm. Extremely proud of the homemade pennywhistle effect.

| Lance, I think your "seatbelt" read was really well done. Very Cleese-like.

Lance:
Good job on the Whistling Seat Belts. More of a character voice than mine. Perhaps that's more like what they wanted. Let us know how you rated.

1st is the notorious Seat Belt read.I may need therapy due to the 1 I got.WAAAAAAHHH.
BTW, is it Washington state, or D.C.?
2nd is the Barber audio play audition. Seems the barber likes to be called Dr. Bruno.I went NY tough guy cause of the Bada Bing in the read.

Steve:
Don't shead a tear over the rating on your seatbelt audition. With a 1 you're in very good company. It's tough to figure out what they want on this one. How much accent is enough, how much is too much, how extreme a character voice to use, and without any feedback, it's anguishing to get that 1 rating (which we might interpret as 'You're a failure. Why did you bother?')
I never saw the Barber audition, so I don't know what the instructions were. I've heard a couple different but good interpretations here and yours is right there with them. How close they are to the seeker's preference is another issue.

Lance,
Eddie is GOOD. Sounds just like the movie.
I'm waiting for the Deniro read...that is, if I get it a chance to see it.

Thanks Dave. I was kinda "tongue in cheek" with my comment on it.
If I stretch on an audition, and I know I suck, then I don't care. But when I see almost everybody get a low rating, it's laughable.
As I mentioned on another thread...the only rating I care about is the one I can take to the bank.
As far as the Barber thing, I've been asked for another read..we'll see what happens.
BTW, I liked your heart for cancer read...better than mine.Good job there.

Thank you very much, but apparently you're wrong. I got a bloody 2.
A deuce. I've never gotten a two before. Whaaaa.
My two just helped to raise the average rating to 1.8.
Does this mean that my audition was actually respectable?
