I heard the spot that was posted a few months back for Time Warner, where a guy was looking for a roomate and the Dish showed up. Great copy and they chose some great talent - blew me away... David, this Dear John is effective, but may be a bit slow for their time constraints.

Here's a line for a fine arts gallery in Pittsburgh. They're looking for Teenage Boy OR Young Adult Male. (Who am I kidding? Opened. Unrated.)

You sounded young until you said minds and dropped the pitch.

I, likewise, don't sound as young as they probably want but, mercifully, mine was also opened but not rated.

Here's one from last week that was rated -- a big fat 1. They were looking for both English and Spanish but not necessarily by the same person. From the way the copy read, I would say it was written by a native Spanish speaker and (roughly) translated into English. I cleaned up a bit of the awkward phasing. Maybe I shouldn't have.

I got a 4 on the IBS and I fixed the english -- you had to.
and they have requested 200 auditions for Inspirosity - lots of luck everyone!

Michael, nice job on the IBS read. I thought you sounded great on that. Beat the "3" I got on it.

Interesting the variations I'm hearing on the Inspirocity lead. I envisioned it as being a bit more upscale and gave them a number of variations. As far as the 200 leads, so far they've listened to every single one of the 126 leads they've received, so I applaud them!

Deby:

Glad to hear you trying some narrative. Your first take sounded more natural and so did the accent. Good job!

Michael:

Your IBS and Inspirosity were like back-to-back home runs! Good luck on the audition process.

Thought I'd throw in my Inspirosity just for comparison. I wasn't going to submit an audition, but what the hey.....

Nick:

Welcome to the forum! Hope to hear from you often.

Of what was submitted here, your Inspirosity audition has the youngest sound to it and may be closest to what they have asked for. The delivery was maybe a tad rushed, but then again, younger voices are generally faster paced than older.

Who knows! It's all up to the seekers isn't it? Even though they might ask for one thing, they may hear something else and decide that sounds better.

Again Nick, welcome. The more, the merrier!

Nick, welcome and nice read! Kind of reminded me of our friend, Simon Hill... and that's a big compliment!
