Greetings voice people!
Some of you here already know me...or maybe those people have FORGOTTEN me by now Its been a while since I've logged in, and its been QUITE a while since I've done any VO's. But, after getting a call from a client I did a TV spot for last year, I'm thinking about dusting off the ol mic and getting back in the game. What can it hurt, eh? Surely Robert Jadah is still around to dish out the brutally honest criticism one needs in order to perfectly hone their craft at this racket! I sure hope so. If not, I'll never be able to get my s**t together and get good at this again.
For those of you who don't know me....Hi! I'm Lisa. I come from small market radio in Eastern New Mexico. I'm 39 years old, a mother of 3 kids, ages 21, 18, and 14, and am recently divorced. I also have 3 cats and a dog. Pleased to meet ya! _________________ Casa De Voz Productions

Welcome back, Lisa -- I remember you. Some things around here have changed quite a bit, but perhaps that old saying is true -- the more things change, the more they remain the same.
Be sure to duck the spam that's being flung around here of late. _________________ Diane

Thanks Diane! Yeah, unfortunately I saw some of the spam threads. To say it was the most vile crap anyone could fathom is an understatement.
Hiya John!! Yes, I am well, thank you. Its very good to see you too _________________ Casa De Voz Productions

LISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you go back and dig up some of my occasional "People I Miss" threads, you'll find your name right up there with folks like Amy Snively and George Karnes.
It's an absolute blessing to have you back! And someone with your talent does NOT need to allow dust or cobwebs to accumulate on your lovely Blue Snowball!
Recently divorced? Yikes! Should we offer condolences or congratulations? Most important: Who got custody of the Camaro?!
We love ya! _________________ Scott R. Pollak

Awwwwwwww Scott! I can't tell you how great that just made me feel. I can't wipe the grin off my face! Thank you so much!
The Camaro....*sigh*. Well, I got custody of it, but I had to sell her. Yes...My "Lola" is now the property of a man named Henry in Sweetwater Texas. I couldn't have continued racing without the help of my husband, and I just flat out needed the money.
As for the congratulations or condolences on the divorce....well, it was pretty devastating for me. We separated right before Thanksgiving of all times, so needless to say the holidays were pure hell for me. But...New Year's Eve, I just happened to run into an old friend of mine from wayyyyyy back.....we're talking elementary school! His name is Wayne, and he, his brother Rusty, and sister Candy and I used to terrorize the neighborhood as little kids. We drifted apart and never really had anything to do with each other all the way thru high school and up till now. We just happened to be two of the very few people at that party without a significant other at our side, and spent the evening talking, and getting reacquainted with each other. He had just gotten a divorce from his wife about 6 months prior. Anyway....we're now dating, and just as happy as we can be. I sure didn't plan to get involved with anyone this soon.....Heck, I honestly never wanted to get involved with anyone ever again! But this man is just the most amazing creation on God's green Earth! He's so sweet, genuine, down to earth, and just has a heart of pure gold. I can't say enough good about him, and I honestly don't know what I ever did to deserve him. I tell ya, if I can just get the career situation in order now, I might very well be the happiest person in the world!
WHAT??? Amy Snively left??? Wow! That one shocks me! I knew about George....but Amy??? Boy things really HAVE changed!
Thank you again for your great big 'welcome back'! You're the best Scott! Much love to ya! _________________ Casa De Voz Productions

Amy still pops in once in a blue moon. She's just been a little too busy to hang around here as much as she used to. _________________ For more voice over demos, my life story, and other foolishness, please visit my website at www.leegordonproductions.com |

Good to see ya again Lisa! And I'm sorry about the divorce--sounds like you're balancing it out with a good turn of events though.
Weren't you looking into an agent a while back? How did that go?
Cheers,

Thanks Lee Give her my best for me.
Great to see you too, Cameron! Actually, the agent thing didn't go at all. However....I've got a good friend in Los Angeles who is helping me out with that information seeking mission as we speak. I'll let ya know how it goes.
Hiya Michael! Nice to meet you. If you ever get a chance to come and explore other parts of the state, I highly recommend Ruidoso. Its about a 3 hour drive or so south of Albq. There's some great Casinos there, skiing, and horse races. Its truly beautiful too! You'll love it!! _________________ Casa De Voz Productions

Great to have you back, Lisa. Not that I'm around here as often as I used to be (too busy working - thankfully! ).
Hope the career picks up as quickly and as well as the personal life! |

Hi! Pleased to make your acquaintance. If the upper right-quadrant of your face is any indication, your ex is nutty.
Hope all goes well for you and the new family configuration. It gets better. |

Welcome back Lisa!
Sorry to hear about the divorce and the selling of the Camaro. But you've got a friend who you're getting better acquinted with and after you blow the dust off of your MIC, I hope you make enough bucks to buy that Camaro back!
Great to see you posting around here.
