Apologies if this has already been covered in many other threads but...
I am trying to record voice overs on an Acer Laptop. I'm thinking of buying a Samson CO1U to record via USB using Adobe Audition. What headphones will work using USB and how can I
hear myself recording as I record, rather than in playback?
Have any members of voice over Savvy tried this and what were the results like?
All advice really helpful
Many Thanks

David,
I just returned that very item.
It would probably be a good mic for doing podcast and alike but for voice overs not so much. I never could get my voice out of the paper towel tube.
You will probably NOT be able to hear yourself as you record but that depends on your setup. It is highly unlikely though.
My results weren't good for what I wanted to do, but I can see it being a good alternative for the right application.
I ended up getting a Rode NT1A and a M-Audio Firewire Solo. This setup works much better, but generally the latency in monitoring while recording is still a problem. |
