Got this one. Had to chuckle as the client's e-mail to me said:

"...I described your voice as having an 'everyman' quality to it, and my coworker said you had a blue-collar element while sounding authoritative. Enough with the flattery. "

Laughing

And a note to you guys; I bid a bit higher (about 25% higher) than their quoted 'flexible' budget because of the length of the project, and they had no problem with it. So don't short-sell yourself.

Approach microphone. Open mouth. Describe technical stuff. Collect money. Laughing

Congrats, Scott. Someday I'll let you listen to my instructions on how to paint an oil derrick!

Here's my demo that never got listened to because they got around to only 17 of the 50 demos they requested and decided you were their man. I hope you feel really guilty. Boo hoo!
Just kidding. Congratulations on a job well done.

Yikes! So they did, Lee! I didn't realize that. And what's even weirder is I 'only' got 4 stars on it. Just shows to go ya.....

Laughing ...is that how the actual script is really written?? Interesting. But I can just imagine how warm and fuzzy and nice all those operators are going to feel after training. Cut down on those warehouse shennanigans.

Great work as always Scott. Thanks for the tip about not underselling yourself. It goes to show you, if they want you, they'll find the money in their budget to pay you.

Congrats! mod rufen

BTW, like Scott I also bid above the stated budget, but not just 10%. My bid was almost double. Does anybody know if seekers can see your price quote without having to open your demo?

I'm pretty sure they see the quote before they "open" the demo or even get to the "detail" page with the essay.
