The time and energy that pros devote to critiquing demos is one of this site's best features. I have gotten a crash course in voiceover demo production just by analyzing this thread!
I have experience in radio and audio production, but these are my first voiceover demos EVER. Currently I am using the "real person" demo as my lead. Please, the truth and nothing but the truth....

I actually like your commercial "announcer" demo better than the other, because I found your reads more warm and approachable than on the other. You just sound comfortable there.
Your conversational isn't quite on it -- not quite real guy enough -- yet. But I sense you're getting the idea. Keep working.
You've got a little bit of mouth noise -- I have trouble with that, too. Make sure you're hydrated during your sessions.

I like your voice...
I think the conversational bits don't work because the rhythm is wrong. You pause too much. People don't pause and separate words like "and" and "now" when they're just talking one-on-one.
Actually, people do talk like that: people I don't trust.
