the way you did when you led the fellow down the wrong path by suggesting there is no playback in an M-audio Fastrack?

Drop it, Lee, and stop harping on the FastTrack. Remember what I told you earlier?

Chris, to you and to the mods, for the record

I tried to avoid this by stating "maybe I'm not understanding your posting' and "don't take it personally"

Erik - Just a thought:

I've noticed a couple of times when things get a little "heated" on discussion threads that you've stepped in as sort of a peacekeeper.

Is that is a role that you've assumed on your own? Or, has V123 specifically asked you to monitor content closely and dampen heated discussions?

Curious. Smile

123 has pretty much given me (and Colin) the wheel.

I have found in the past that when I sign posts "-Mod" usually people tend to chill out. Whatever works.

I just try to keep us friendly, professional and on track. Arguments are good sometimes and we can all learn from them as long as they don't go on forever and just make everyone else feel ill.

I would hate for Daniel to not feel it is worth it to come to us for advice in the future.

That's cool, Erik. And I appreciate your point about people getting the help they need.

Speaking only for myself, I prefer a more free-wheeling approach...especially in the Geek area. With all the group hugging and kumbaya in all the other categories it can be interesting, educational and entertaining to watch people slug it out sometimes over, of all things, electronics. (Within limits, I guess!)

Perhaps the action to take would be to open another thread and say "This discussion between Chris and Lee can be found here." Maybe that's not practical. I don't know the ins-and-outs. Not trying to make your job harder. I just like to read a spirited debate I guess. schlagen

That would more likely protract the back-and-forth. Better to drop the subject altogether.

So Daniel, Friday has come and gone. Did you get your gear yet and if so, what did you get?
