On Blackberry, V123 leads display OK. TOS, on the other hand, does not unless you click the box that tells their system to send plain text instead of HTML. I've always received TOS LEADS as plain text on my Blackberry but I hit a snag yesterday. A job OFFER came in and it would not display. I suggested to the nice folks at TOS that they also provide the option to get offers in plain text. What a great response! They did it overnight! Job offers and the counter-offer process will now display in plain text if you desire. I may not get much work from that site, but their customer service is darn amazing. _________________ www.voiceover1.com |

I tried to get Yahoo mail to foward V123 messages to my cell phone. It only worked a couple of times before I had to reset the command--I just gave up.
Cheers,

That's great news, Allen. I've had that same problem, so really good to hear. Voices-com customer service is truly amazing. _________________ Diane

I'm hooked on using my handheld...guess that's why they call them "Crackberry".
More info:
"we've created plain text versions of all the job offer, counter-offer, offer accepted, deposit received, files uploaded and files accepted email messages -- so they will display correctly on your BlackBerry." _________________ www.voiceover1.com |

I must be an odd combination of techno-geek and old fart. I've played with computers since 1966 and got myself a Casio BOSS back before anyone knew what a PDA was, but I have absolutely no interest in ever owning a Blackberry. Nor do I have any plans to get an iPod or anything like it. _________________ For more voice over demos, my life story, and other foolishness, please visit my website at www.leegordonproductions.com |

Well, Lee -- it's certainly a matter of personal preference, whether you want to be that connected all the time, but once you are, it's hard to let it go.
The iPod is a different story. I have three of them, shuffle, nano, video -- but after playing happily with them a while and spending a fortune on iTunes -- I let it go like a 5 year old's Christmas toy.
Actually, I have a Verizon Wireless service Motorola Q. Got it when I was doing a lot of driving. On one trip, I got an email (through 123, in fact) that I had landed a gig! He needed it right away (of course), and he turned out to be a repeat client.
Works for me! _________________ Diane

Sometimes I'm not crazy about being so connected. But, I make money off my BlackBerry, the same way as Diane. I only use tools that work for me.
I don't own an iPod, my wife and kids do. But since there's a lot of our work ending up on such gadgets, I think it's important to appreciate and embrace that market. _________________ www.voiceover1.com |
