I regularly see stuff like this in my 'inbox' on V123:

"This is a BILINGUAL voiceover, the final script will be half English, half French. The script is currently is English only, still waiting on French aproval. (sic)"

Nowhere in my profile does it say I do bilingual or anything other than English. As well, I often see the little green-dot "location required" leads for places like NY or LA.

I hope the "new and improved" V123 (and, um, WHEN is that coming again?) will do a better job of filtering out leads that are inappropriate to certain talents.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I have to agree. That post would be okay for me because I speak French, but I get a few messages that fit me except one major factor. E.g. Needs to have a slight Chinese accent, or one was Russian accent. I'm English (British & European), as far I am aware, neither are in Europe Rolling Eyes Laughing

Scott, unfortunately I´m not too involved with the process of leads approval now a days, but will for a fact have the guys review the situation and find out what happened and why was it miss sent.

This is not the common factor but manual errors can occur. Please accept our apologies and be sure the QA manager will be informed and the situation looked in to.

123 is better than that other site. For some strange reason I continually get "Mandarin Chinese" requests over there (along with many other obscure dialects.) And... NO I AM NOT BRITTISH!. Though it's funny, one of my best jobs I got from these sites... not 123... I inadvertantely answered a lead for a British voice and I got the job. Too weird.

Well, it's true! 123 is down and dirty but the other site is "hoity toity" to the point that it's all "window dressing." In the past year, I got one job from them and three from you. Neither amount is acceptable to me, but 123 has the lead. Then there is this forum! A chance to post our links at every turn. SEO! (For the uninitiated.. that's Search Engine Optimization.) Marketing is a nasty business.
