Oh I have the identity and the contact info for this client. But they just haven't bothered to even acknowledge receiving the custom demo I sent after the e-mail, or to even say, "Yeah, we got your message, but no thanks..."
Hopefully I'll eat crow here soon when they DO pop back up out of the woodwork. Ya never know. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

The thing is, if they are flim flamming flakes, what do we care if they go somewhere else. I would rather know that the three hours I am spending making a demo is actually for a job that is going to happen and be paid for.
It seems like half the leads are for gigs that might happen if someone signs off. I bet you that people who were making pitches used to have to pay to get their "demos" to turn around and pitch to someone else.
I wonder how many of our free demos have been used to sell a job and then once there is a real budget they use some "known" person fron an agency.
Ahh just venting a little. For me, the chance to do this many different is awesome, but someday I want to make some money. _________________ 865-686-8925

Well, George, I'm certain this was a job that IS going to happen. They gave me a link to the project site (It's an online real-estate flash program) and I went and looked at it. The presentation is built (It looks very nice) and they just need the voice for it.
I'm disappointed in that, of course, we typically are lucky to get one job out of a hundred leads answered here. This would have been repeat business and the more steady and repeat clients you build into your cadre', the less you have to sit and chase down the many frustrating leads we get here. Ideally you want to get to the point where your repeat business is so steady that you virtually don't have to even go after any new business. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

For the rediculously low sum of only $10 I can personalize and record the following
(Name of Talent) is wonderfully gifted and talented. It was a hard decision considering we had over 200 respondees, but (name of talent) stood out from all the rest. We understand the importance of our client's message and feel that for the price we received great vaule. We hope to use (name of talent) in the future and recommend (him/her) highly.
Just make the check payable to J.S. Gilbert and I can turn it around within 48 hours.
Also available is:
We thin (name of baby) is the most beuatiful baby we have ever seen. While most babies look like shrunken versions of Dwight Eisenhower or Winston Churchill, (name of baby) ...
