Hey everyone,
If you're looking for practice in the animation department try http://voiceactingalliance.com/

Lots of people doing @ home projects redubbing popular animated series. No pay, but it's a great way to get anime experience!

As Robert would say.. Voice On!!!

I've been there for about a year now and have done commercials, radio plays, anime dubs, jingles, all sorts. Is good experience and they're friendly too with lots of tips for the absolute beginner! Very Happy

I agree. I actually just had an audition at an anime dubbing studio here in LA. If it wasn't for my practice work on the VAA, I wouldn't have been as well prepared!

Hey gang,

I haven't worked with VAA, but have done some VO with a radio drama group called Dream Realm Enterprises (dregold.net). Although it started out as just a freebee, it *may* go paid in the future (but I'm not holding my breath;-))

It is good practice, and I do use a fair number of dialects and characters.

The upside is that they have a deal with several radio stations in Canada and the USofA and do get air play.

Not bad to fill any "spare" time in my schedule (dubious at best...)

Toodles,

If you're looking for another fun group to be a part of, I'd recommend Pendant Audio. They run in a very professional manner and produce all sorts of productions. They actually do get air play at multiple radio stations and their James Bond show I believe was recently featured on BBC radio. I'm actually in one of their productions and have had nothing but good experiences so far.
