Not sure about the Snowball...but it sure is a cute little thing!

I use a Samson CO1U when I need to do a down-and-dirty demo straight into the laptop and it actually sounds good...for demos. But I'd never dream of using it for actual finished recording. I have a totally different set up for that.

Maybe USB is fine for final...perhaps it really depends on your room acoustics, but I think I'd reserve it for demo purposes.
