Okay folks while I'm the last person to call for some seriousness on this forum and have enjoyed my share of laughter on this thread, will anyone simply answer the initially posed question for Chrissakes! Rolling Eyes

Autumn, they're not ussually like this collectively, I'm seriously thinking global warming has something to do with it for sure.

Global warming IS quite a problem. Who would ever thought there would be snow in Dallas, on Easter Sunday?!?! Shocked

Autumn allow me to lay out the quick ONE-TWO RE: Chuck

Chuck, hasn’t been heard from recently and that’s probably thanks to
1) Colin who like me thought Chuck should not have been left to continue his antics as long as he did on this forum and
2) Eric who overly exercised extreme caution and sensitivity (OEEC&S) with the issue and probably wisely avoided a whole host of problems if he would have knee-jerked reacted in the first instance—it’s rare but real nice to have such a balance around here.

Chuck is a guy who years ago lost his voice in a terrible accident, and who afterwards decided either to
1) Become a voice over talent or
2) To use this place as a feedback forum for therapy to reacquire his verbal faculties.

Or so it appeared, until it started to become apparent that he was either
1) Not interested in, or
2) Incapable of improving his vocal delivery at the most basic levels of intelligibility.

He open random senseless threads and
1) Posted garbled bizarre recordings followed by inane commentary responses and
2) Began attacking the very people who had previously tried to help him.

Nice guy huh? He is either
1) A sick individual who needs help beyond the scope of this group or
2) An internet Troll who gets his jollies out of disrupting a and manipulating people into abusive arguments over nothing

Either way, that did stir up a minor debate amongst several forum members and one of them even decided to leave the forum because
1) Chuck began posting a web page that even though it bore her spelled out name, it had nothing to do with her voice over business.
2) She got fed up with what started to appear as stalking and libeling behavior aimed at her.

She soon realized this could harm her VO web presence via Google searches and so on, and since has
1) Overly exercised extreme caution and sensitivity (OEEC&S) at the kind of posting history she leaves on these forums.
2) had second thoughts and simply deletes her posted responses (If I were her atty I’d hold Chuck liable for this aberration in her internet personae—he traumatize her I believe)

Someone else has suggested we ought not kid too brutally around here (**ahem) perhaps for the same reasons—to which I would tend to agree—I’m just glad he hasn’t resurfaced—he can’t be that dumb or incapacitated—he knows how to operate a PC—type in web addresses as someone pointed out before—I do hope he is well and gets “better.”

Yes the Chuck saga is not a happy one even though I do have to confess having “chuckled” once or twice—okay it was more than a chuckle—especially when he uploaded the fart recording I mean come on….

Maybe he was just another innocent victim of random tragedy or perhaps a victim of himself since he has quite aptly displayed all the markings of a bona fide “internets Troll.”
