I am using Pro Tools, the MBOX2 mini and an AKG microphone to do some practice runs.

I have recorded a track, but am unable to hear the playback...has anyone else run into that problem?

Hi Lia,

I'm sure there are a million things that would be keeping you from hearing your work.

First check to make sure your speakers are plugged in.

And then do what you will with the following questions...

When you hit "play" is there any indication that your software is playing back? (i.e. moving scroll bar, vu indicators, flashing lights....)

Also, are you certain that audio has been recorded (can you see a waveform?)

Are your speakers plugged in? Again.

Is the record function activated when you try to play back?

Hi Lia,

to hear the playback with the Mbox mini you need to plug in your speakers or headphones on the Mbox mini output instead of the normal computer output.

There is an indication that it is playing back but I was trying to listen through the headphones! I'll try the speakers instead...thanks so much for the feedback.

Thanks Claire, I actually had my headphones plugged into the computer.

Make sure your Mix knob is turned all the way clockwise or at least half-way. I use the headphone jack on the front of the unit with Sony studio headphones.[/img]
