I noticed most of you post head shots. I've always felt for marketing purposes that you should remain faceless so that it doesn't color a potential client's opinion of you. What do all of you think? I have a head shot I could post but I feel it would be a detrament to my marketing efforts. Not that its hiddeous or anything, just that in my opinion it would form an opinion based on a visual rather than pure sound.

Colin. I know many successful Professionals that have been in the business for years and years and know all aspects of this business like the back of their hand, and most of them agree with you. The general consensus is, you shouldn't have a picture of yourself on your website unless you are also trying for on-camera work or that you are already so famous that people want to see what you look like. Otherwise, you spoil the mystery surrounding your voice and as you said open up to the possibility of judgements or opinions being formed based on your looks rather than your voice. I happen to agree now, but I haven't gotten around to taking my photo off my site....but it's coming off as soon as I get around to it.
