| My father was in broadcastion his entire life, the last 25 yrs in New York going on auditions and earning a good living. I was raised in this bus., as I am sure many here were. My 10 years of radio, then 18 years of promoting records to radio kept me in the loop. 3 1/2 years ago I decided to go after this full time. I was sure I had the skills to make it work. Made next to no money the first two years, last year an almost livable wage and this year looks to be pretty good. Thankfully my wife was earning a living. The point of all this is I knew the business and had some skills and it still was very dificult. You learn everyday. If you dont you're going backwards. Good luck all! |

Kevan:
Thanks for those good, sensible words, and I hope to hear more from you on these boards. Your experience and talent are obvious and - much as I hate to hear of yet another swimmer in the deep end - it's a great place to keep growing, learning, blossoming.
Noted a type on your site page, incidentally: you obviously meant 'indulgence'.
Good, powerful demo.
Do you do your own production?
