|
| Hey guys...I have been approached by someone to narrate 9 lines of a short film. He asked for my rates, and I'm not very sure what to quote. I am new, so I'm willing to take less money since I'm a total newbie, but I also don't want to look dumb. Any idea what I should quote? |

I really can't tell...he has a trailer for it on YouTube and it looks professional. But, what do I know. I probably have to ask him some qualifying questions, but I need the right approach. I also don't want to sound insulting or anything like that.
All I know is that it's a VO for 9 lines in a short film. Any idea how I should approach him for more info? |

| OK...so it's about 15-20 seconds of finished audio for a short indy film...so obviously not high budget. I was thinking $50? |

| Ouch. You have to at least be able to get $100. |

Actually, I found the gig on Craigslist and just pointed him to my demo. He directed a short independent film called 'They Can Sleep'. Below is a link to the trailer. I'm going to be the voice of a 911 dispatcher. I will post my reads that on Leads and Reads once I speak more with him and get more direction.
Thanks!
