Hi everyone... although I generally approve of the new V123 site, I did note that I could renew my pro status sub at any time for $290. Last time I paid it was $195. Whilst I don't mind some increase to pay for the new site, that does seem an excessive hike. I guess I'll get it back over the months, but isn't this a little greedy - or have I missed or misunderstood the point here?

Yes, dues have increased without warning, I'm afraid. I guess the changes proved expensive. I do hope you will make it up through the work you get here. I was lucky enough to renew right before the hike!

Thanks Maxine.
I browsed the main headers of 'the pros' section to see if there was anything obvious about the rate hike, and only posted when I couldn't see anything pertinent. Seems like I was looking in the wrong section then. I'll have a deeper look when I get an evening to spare! Cheers anyway!

Removing the TALKBACK thread was the result of a poll on the subject. Majority ruled that in the spirit of a fresh start we remove the black eye. There are still MANY other posts on the subject of SmartCast and the rate hike elsewhere.
