Hey! I'm Brandon Brockwell a.k.a. Mitch Myers and while I've done several voice overs through the broadcasting company I work for, I've never actually had any independant gigs. I'm hoping to change that. Please take the time to listen to some of my demos and tell me what you think.
Thanks,
Brandon |

Hi Brandon,
I went to your page on V123 and had a look and a listen. Some good variety!
My personal observation relates to your page: There's too much for me to choose from.... I'm looking for that single 60 second commercial demo, or character demo, featuring pure Brandon voice magic.
Most talent seekers spend under a minute listening to material. Gotta hit 'em with the best right off the bat so they say, "Wow! Hire that guy!"
Best success!
Cheers,

| Well, That's quite a bit of talent there! What's not to like. The other person (can't think of her name) has some good advice.. Although, if I were going to drop some serious dough on buying some talent.. I'd want to know the range and scope. Yet, again that's just me. My bother is a doctor who get's a lot of mail. He says something about the 2 second per envelope.. not even opening the mail.. just the outside of the envelope has to pass this test or it goes in the round-file. Imagine that. Perhaps that's the same type of thing as those looking for talent. |

Thanks so much for the advice guys! Yeah, I was wondering if I had too much on my profile. I'm just trying to stand out as much as possible. I guess there is a such thing as overdoing it though. And you're right. I shouldn't expect clients to spend time listening to all the demos I have on my profile. Perhaps it's time to remodel.
Thanks again,
Brandon |

I would consider keeping that first character demo with the dating-service line-up. It's freakin' hilarious (if this was the 1930's I'd call it "completely zany!") and shows some range and creativity. Most importantly, I wanted to hear what was coming up next...to me this is a key quality to a strong demo.
Keep that first character piece, have another compilation character piece (since you're so good at it) and then have a :30 or :60 narration and commercial demo. The narration and commercial demos don't need to be dry or non-charactery in your case - for example, the narration demo could have a character reading letters home from the Civil War as part of a imaginary documentary. |

Hey, that's a really good idea. I think I'll work on something like that.
Thank you! |
