Okay, so every third post here talks about the god, the king, the pinnacle of voices, Don LaFontaine. We all (well, most of us) wish we were even close to his level. Just for fun, give this script your best shot at a LaFontaine type of read. I'm attaching mine, although I should have done it at 6 a.m. today instead of 11 a.m. No huge processing here... this is close to my real 'announcer' voice.

Here's the script and have fun (Yes, I purposely included the word 'larynx'):

They thought they had what it takes.

They thought they could be king of the hill.

They were wrong.

In a world where their voice was their only weapon, they encountered a larynx that was larger than life.

Don LaFontaine.

The voice.

The legend.

Hear it now at a theater near you.

Ok Scott. Seems like a fun one. Here is mine with no engineering.

I think smoking the carton of unfiltered camels worked great. Wink

Shoot! I was aiming for a cross between James Earl Jones and Pee-Wee Herman... back to the drawing board!

I have removed my post since Scott has changed the gag apparently. I thought we were suppose to say it the way he scripted it as a joke. Apparently it wasn't. So, to not embarrass myself, I have removed it.

Those new ones are great.

Todd- I want your engineering skills. I wish I could cut, chop, clip, combine, cover and collate like that.

Okay, Scott, this was a fun idea and I couldn't resist playing along. Yours was very clever Todd but I didn't want to take nearly that much time to throw this together! Here's my unprocessed crack at your script, Scott.
