I mean, no offense to anyone in particular - but what the hell?
------------------

The recording will be use in an american Anime production which is in the concept phase and will be a test voice over. Male voice. A child's voice. North american english. The recording must be MP3 format. We have a tight budget and we can't use any money because alot of it is going into the concept animation.

Please send your demoa nd quotes based on the script provided.

Script:

Male Child: "Daddy, please don't leave me! You have to take of mommy and me!"

Male Adult: "...."

Male Child: "Sobbing sounds"

Male Adult: "..."
(he leaves)

Male Child: "No, daddy!"(bursts out crying)

Todd, based on what I've heard of your style, I think you should probably do the voice of Quandra, the Lizard-skinned reptilian dominatrix of the Wun Hung Lo dynasty Glue factory that's in this anime' project............

I have to say it's kind of cheezy, but sounds like a typical Anime scene where they do some cheezy psycho talk and the main character becomes over-emotional. Once again, a typical Anime scene, nothing unique.

I'd love to hear your audition for it. Smile

Hmmmm ... they can't use any money (for VO) because it's all going into the animation concept. Doesn't sound like a paying gig for VO, does it? But they still want to know what you'd charge if they were going to pay you. Am I reading that right? I've deleted similar leads without answering.

If the script is fun, I'll sometimes do the audition clip even if the lead is ambiguous. I do like some anime, but this brief portion of the script doesn't do much for me.

Sometimes I just "give away" a free sample. It's "exposure."

Well opening your trenchcoat in a city park is exposure but the outcome is questionable. Wink

I have only deleted a couple of leads, and this was one of them.
