Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a run down on what kind of recording equipment would be best to purchase for a home studio. I have been in contact with a couple of companies but everyone I talk to seem to have their own thoughts on this and I'm becoming confused?!
Thank you in advance for your comments.

Hello Peggy,

Well it kind of works that way, each talent and sound engineer have different taste for recording software, mics, hardware, etc.

Here’s a couple of links that might be of help, there are a couple of forums regarding home studio tips:

Hi, Peggy...

Buying equipment can be confusing even for pros, so don't feel bad. Let me give you my 2¢ worth...

First, your computer. You definitely need one of those. It would be helpful to know if you have one, if it's a Mac or Windoze machine, and its basic specs (operating system, speed, memory and so forth).

Let me know this, and we'll go from there.

I got a windows PC with dual core 3800 processors and a nice sound card. It's got a media bay with connectors I don't know nothing about yet.

What other equipment, mic, and software do you recemmend?
