The voices should be clear and somewhat eerie and authoritive. And said with a smile....You're trying to coax him into settling.

In a lead tonight. Eeerie, authoratative, with a smile. Wow. Am I crazy or does that make no sense? _________________ www.ColinCampbellVoice.com

Jack Nicholson comes to mind on that. Maybe like in that movie, in the hotel, you know, "Here's Johnny" I can't think of the name though. _________________ Keith D. Milby - voices.keithdmilby.com |

That's it. The description kinda reminded of that. I am sure whoever wrote that direction knew what they wanted. Maybe they just weren't good at it. _________________ Keith D. Milby - voices.keithdmilby.com |

Here's an interesting tidbit regarding The Shining, that goes back to the old "brushes with fame" thread that was on here a while back...
Shelley Duvall, who was in the Shining, used to work at a department store in Houston, Tx, alongside my sister (this was in the late 1960's). My sister and Shelley, who were both around 20 or so at the time, used to hang out together and go get high together. Director Robert Altman came to Houston in around 1968 to film a little-known movie, "Brewster McCloud" in what was then the world's only, and almost brand new, domed stadium (the Astrodome). Shelley started hanging out around the cast and crew, pretty much as a groupie, and Altman gave her a bit part in the movie. She'd never acted at all and it pretty much showed. But after that bit part she left Houston and headed out to Hollywood. "The Shining" was really her BIG break and showed a great leap in her acting capabilities. My sister lost touch with her after she left Houston, but apparently Shelley has not only had a good career, but done a lot of good things with her time and talents, in a lot of childrens' productions. _________________ Scott R.
