I've been doing production work and marketing voice talent, as well as on-hold hardware and other products/services for 3 years now. We're moving into a new area, and I really need your advice.

I know what to charge for a 3-minute on-hold spot, leaving plenty of room to properly compensate voice talent and purchase audio, plus to pay myself. Our clients are very pleased with our final product. The problem: We're looking at doing national radio and/or TV voice-overs. What should we charge for a "national buy-out?" What is a competitive price for a 30-second spot for a national campaign requiring us to come up with concept, script, voice, and production?

Finally, we tend to work with non-union talent. What disadvantages, if any, will we face? If one of our talents is union, what do we need to do to protect their status?

Thank you SO much.

And check out the resource page here at V123. Some suggested quoted rates too may be helpful. Good Luck!
