There are some filters you can use to give that effect so it doesn't sound unplugged..
Perhaps you should ask
Simon
Actually http://michaelminetree.voice123.com/ would probably have the answer to that.

It's possible! not perfect but it's possible...Do you have a music keyboard connected to the machine...?

thank you for your responses to my post. this filter that you speak of, i use adobe audition. is this a filter to be used with my DAW of some other filter? please excuse my inexperience as i am new at this. once again, thank you for your input.
P.S. has anyone ever gotten private leads earlier than expected and unfortunately not equiped to take any jobs until you were more prepared?

You should buy this, it's only $40:
http://www.totaltraining.com/prod/outlines/adobe/audition15.asp
If you're not equiped try to keep a low profile till you're ready so that the client won't remember the next time you do reply to a lead, "that that's the guy who's not equiped yet".
All in due time. Can't say if it will work since I have never used adobe audition but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.....
Actually, just recent acquired some Adobe products and have to say the interface is pretty darn impressive so impressive that I even went to the above link to get the training for it. Try it and see if you like the effect. Experiment!

thank you for the link, i'm going there now.
i did not think clients would look at the message boards for talent-hunting purposes, i thought i was safe. i have learned my lesson & shall have to step on the gas when it comes to getting equipped, so i don't lose anymore opportunities.

It is safe, this is the (fun forum), where others share their ideas and insights or come for trouble shooting like yourself.
When a client is seeking talent they go to voice123.com search engine.
Or if you wanna know everything there is to know about treeclimbing you go here: http://www.tci-forums.com/ etc.
If you want to know more about mics you should call Sam Ash, they have a specialist for everything plus it's free advice.
