I'm going to open up one of my "bars" very soon. Is it five o'clock yet?

Phyllis, thanks for sharing your 'pregnancy' read. I thought is was really good...you did sound exhausted.... I love this thread. I've learned more in the last four days than in the last four years because of people's honesty and a sincere desire to help see each other grow in our craft. It's a God send....See ya round... Very Happy Marilyn Taylor

Ed Herlihy was a great 1950's braodcaster and i often think of him when they ask for 1950's stuff. Of couorse there's also Edward R. Murrow.

here's a link to a little diddy of Ed Herlihy from 1958

Found this today:

A recent job that I won here on V123 is also using the :60 read that I did for their radio ad on their website. It's kinda cool. Go take a look/listen:

Thanks for posting that, J.S. That's EXACTLY the voice I had in my head when I saw that lead.

Yeah, that's it. Unfortunately I don't think I can do that. And... as far as Edward R. Murrow... all I can say in his voice is "This is London." After that, I'm done.

Here is my VO Auto. I was listening to Vic's and realized how flat mine was. I usually love these type where it is more characterish but I don't think I got it.

G-Man,

Who knows what the hell these seekers are looking for. They may very well be looking for just a straight news read, something like mine, or something completely different. The actual submission I sent had both with and with SFX. So, who knows. Wink
