I like the fun scripts, though it felt as if I had to hurry to make it under the wire...50 auditions and I was #47...whew!

Nice job, Jon! Well done! I have that open in my inbox but am certain I won't get it in in time considering there are now 50 responses.

I believe I might have been #49. It was so close to the wire that I didn't want to take the time to view the YouTube clip that they referred to. I was about to write "Fat chance it will ever get listened to" but as I was typing this I received the notification that mine was, in fact, listened to and, better yet, they gave me 5 stars.

Well, they bumped up the number of requested leads for the Parasites spot.
(SCOTT!!! SUBMIT NOW!!!)
Not that I would have known since I didn't get a notice about the fact the project was available again...
I did get a re-invite to be an African American Radio Star.
Off to the tanning booth,

Hey everyone, here is the audition I submitted for a :30 Back To School Mall Promo. They were looking for a Teen voice talent. I got the job...wooohooo!!

I too got a re-invite for the spot you are talking about but the reason I did not submit an audition is not because I'm not an African American, it's because they wanted music and sound effects and didn't specify a budget. The lead says only that the spot is for an African American radio station in Chicago, not that the voiceover must necessarily be done by an African American talent.

LOL.... thanks, Joe, for the heads up! I did get this one in on time this go-round. Speaking of the tanning booth, we have a guy playing our Indian, Chief Bromden, in the version of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" that I'm directing, and he's about as white of a cracker as I am (pretty darned white!) so we've made arrangements with the local tanning spa to give him some darkening up in exchange for a free plug!

Thanks Alexis! You know it was closed when I first got it too! Then I got a re-invite and saw that 60 other people had already auditioned. Seriously, I had no hope when I sent it but I thought what the hell. You just never know
