Ok everyone here is my request/question.

I have a new mic!! Smile I ended up with a Sennheiser @835.

I have been trying to teach myself to edit. However, I am not familiar with all the lingo. I have always recorded at a studio once I landed a gig.

I am getting to the point I promise....If I post a sample read will you guys help me learn to edit. hilfe I would like someone to say, ok you need to do xyz and this is why. If I can get that feed back in pieces it would be so helpful! I can take out empty space and my breaths so far; that is about it. I have not had any luck finding someone to help me locally that fits my budget.....free!

Plus, would this be the proper forum to post that kind of thing in or should I use a different forum?

Thank you for your consideration! Wink

Heather,
the editing challenged chick.

Go for it, Heather.
But don't forget to mention which software program you're using.
I'm sure you'll get more help than you can possibly use....
