Okay, I've been out of the loop for almost a week. Here's today's effort, complete with my own original music behind it.

In the game of voiceover Chicken, Scott, I've veered out of the way and now cannot post my version of that...
Relaxed with a nice touch of drama.
Good job!
Voiced Out!

The only thing remotely interesting I got tonight from the other site. This is a bit embarassing but I am going out on a limb here and trying to do characters for kids learning email. It gets better as you get further into it and the characters change, but it pretty much all sucks.

I did that one too, Colin. Sounded like fun.
Since you had the grit to post yours...I'll follow.....

Colin,
You sell yourself short on your new venture into character voices. I liked it.
Robert,
Well, you are Robert Jadah, star of screen and voice. I liked yours as well.
You are both going to Hollywood!

Yes... Robert... your genie is better, but I like my parrott. Reminds me of the Monty Python "Dead Parrot" bit. (I wish I had that audio.) And, I do also like my robot. Unusual for me but NO processing on that one. I noticed a little "enhancement" on yours Robert.

I talked with Dave Sebastian Williams of everythingvo.com (and publisher of the VO Resource Guide) a couple of weeks ago at his shop in Sherman Oaks, CA. He told me that he's gotten well over 100 gigs via V123, though a majority of them have been repeat business (pays to hit pay dirt once in a while I guess!). He also said that he NEVER included production, and that when he's done casting through V123 he won't even bother with submissions that include production. Yeah, we heard a "winning" spot on here a couple of weeks ago that included the whole shootin' match (and which subsequently caused a bit of a bruhaha), but.... I'm taking my cue from Dave (this, of course, coming from a guy who has yet to land a gig through this venue, despite having what I believe is a respectable commercial demo that I can zing off on generic leads, AND being pretty timely in response to custom requests). No more responses for the disgusting "$100-249" category, no more church gigs, and no more music/sfx beds for this guy. What's the definition of insanity, again?

In ref to David J's post above.
And then this lead came in just a moment ago. Of course I cannot respond (something to do with paying up (I will get to it soon)) and wouldn't.

This script will be used on a couple of promo videos that I am working on.
I would like a distinct male voice, one that won't be confused with my own.
You can hear my voice here (disregard the content)
I don't want my video to sound to "canned", "corporate", or "boring". I present a show of magic, comedy, motivation, and music, so a little enthusiasm would be nice. Of course, we don't want to be "cheesy", either.
Is that descriptive enough?
I'd like to turn this around ASAP, so send me a customized demo and $$ proposal and maybe we can work together!

Something crazy is going on around here. I am suspicious.
