Because you asked for it.....every week we´ll be creating a new Demo of the day thread where you can post and listen to other talents demo submissions. This way it´ll be much easier to track the samples for future reference.

Still working on that one, we had a minor problem and the thread was removed by mistake (my fault) I´m working with our server guy to pull it back from the back up.

Oh... I don't know what the others think but I would say it's not a big deal. Just neat for historical reasons.

Wow Scott-
That was a really good read. These G8 people had something else up here not long ago. I wonder if anyone here got that one.

Anyway, here is mine....

Thanks, George, I appreciate that.
George, might I suggest shortening your slate? You have perhaps 3 seconds of wasted time from that long beeping intro that could be used, instead, on reading the copy. Try this one....

Scott-
I have been trying to edit that little snippet for days and I can't get it to sound right.

I think I am going to just put it up dry. I know it is way to long.

Scott.
Can you tell me the purpose of a slate, some VO use them and some don't?

Thanks
Lynne

OK, from "that other site," I concentrated on this quite a bit only to realize the slave labor budget, but I tried hard and I'd apreaciate any commnets since it is a "non-radio" audio book novel read and I'd really like to improve those skills.

Colin-
Well, here are my thoughts.

One, your slate rocks! Now I want to copy you instead of Scott...I know, I am shallow.

On the read, your pace is slow a lot and you drop you voice on the last word of nearly every short sentence.

You have a couple of longer sentences where you pace speeds up and is much more compelling.

Two I can think of are the prejudice one and the last one you end on.

I think you have the perfect voice for reading things like mysteries and thrillers....you might want to stay away from bodice rippers..... Wink

I must say that I found it as funny as you did.

You should submit it and demand 2500.00 to do the job.

Thanks for the laugh.
