When I get the "Thank you" e-mail after sending out an audition to voice123. What dose that mean? Did the client listen and just went with somebody else or is that just a mass e-mail sent out by voice 123? please help.

I can tell you it wasn't sent by V123. I guess someone was trying to be polite but with 200+ of'em to send, it would have to be automated.

it's just that some time I get them other times I don't. That’s why I question as to whether or not the "Thank You" reply e-mail is automated

Hello Joe,

It is not an automated process, it needs to be set manually by the client and to every audition. indy

I've never gotten one, even when I was told by voice seekers that they sent one from the page they listen to auditions on. They aren't going in my spam folder. Is there some way I am supposed to turn on the option of getting them?

I've gotten them before, but I always thought they were somewhat automated.

Freddie: Maybe when the client selects the final VA to get the job, the rest of the auditions can get a "Someone Else Was Selected" e-mail.

Makes it easier for the client, and takes away the "whatever happened to that job" portion for us...

Think or Thwim,

When I helped out on a V123 audition, there was an option (I can't remember the exact wording) that said "Delete and send thank you message" or something similar. There was a box to check or a button to push and that was all, as far as I could tell.

Exactly, Joe...but with one little addition:
"Job assigned to V123 member."
What is so difficult about that?
Plus, it gives us an idea of how many posters are just toying with us.

I remain convinced that some people have figured out an interesting Saturday Voice Night Out.
Post a semi-weird request (owl sounds wanted in various moods; might lead to big $$$$) and then spend the evening playing back 144 earnest entries.
All to general merriment.
I may do it myself.

Temptingly twisted, Robert - you're in my mental neighborhood now...

I *hope* there aren't too many of those out there, but how would we know from this side? Other than the info that V123 requires to post, that is...

But think of it, Joe...
What a hoot.
Post two weird jobs in a week....'Character is drugged-out surfer dude trying to rehab; sounds a bit like Donal Trump. But still need natural read of grouting manual', and 'For possible documentary, surviving dyslectic Incan speaks English backwards with Finnish intonation. Custom demos only.'
It costs nothing, and you have 250 really, really funny clips with which to get the party going......
I'm going to do it.
Voice Night Out.

That is an idea that was brought up a while back, we´ll probably see something like it in future developments.
