Hello.....
I see folks are listening and/or reading my post...but noone is responding. Should I assume the answer would be less than favorable?

If anyone listens.... just give me a Poor. Needs Improvement. Ok. Almost there. Perfect; don't change a thing.

Or not.

Thank you for your help
Have a great day

It's pretty clear you have experience with this sort of thing, Michael, and your demo is pretty good. I'd like to hear less promo, hard sell stuff and more of spots like the pizza one. Just for variety.

I'm betting you have a background in radio which would be a good reason for the types of spots on your demo. I personally think you could just use a tad more variety.

Hi Michael,

YOu do have a great voice and I can hear your radio experience in the demo. But I've found that the people who are casting the high dollar jobs are looking for more conversational reads. So I'd suggest the following on your demo.

Keep your favorite "radio" stuff, but add several very conversational spots... perhaps a 2-voicer with a woman... or even a spot with a child could soften up your deep voice. Also, remove the radio aircheck from your demo. It'll turn off most of the bigger clients.

I do have an aircheck on my site, but it's one of several demos--and at the bottom.

In addition, I recommend every talent have several demos for clients to choose from so they can hear what they're looking for... One commercial, one narration, one IVR with on hold as well, on station imaging, I also have one with children's stuff I've done, one for interactive, and even a real estate demo. (lots of realtors are now looking for voices to give virtual tours)

Good Luck, Michael!

Hello Julie,
Your comments are greatly appreciated.
I will soften up the mix...and add other elements, minus the "higher-energy" stuff.
Thank you very much for the tips. All are welcomed and encouraged.
Have a great day

You're very welcome, Michael. Who do you hire talent for? I saw you're a talent seeker too.
Julie

Hi Julie....
my bad. I have to get that off of there. I must have been napping when I put that in there. I don't hire.
Sorry about that.
Have a great day

Cool Hey Michael... For what it's worth, I think you have a lot of sounds that advertisers are looking for. The young, hard sell car thing... the quiet, sincere caring piece in there sounded good too. I definately think you're probably very competitive in seeking work through voice123.

In summary, I think you're on the right track.
Regards from Toronto,
