Lynne & Tom - You should call each other - record your respective parts - then email to one or the other for editing. I've done this with two-voice spots before - it's low-tech & low budget - but it works.

I know this is just an exercise -but still ---

Use Skype
You can record and talk at the same time.

Sounds really cool though. One thing I did notice and spo it made me wonder. The sound floor is different for each of you. How can that be fixed so they don't sound like they are in different rooms.

Todd-
Does you BIG secret source have any thoughts? What was it something called glubble?

This was only for Lynne to see what she sounded like when mixed with the male part. We aren't submitting this. I just volunteered to read the male part and mix it with her part so she could hear how it would sound in a conversation format. She is going to take that file, cut out her parts....mess around using my part as the male role and do her parts again based on mine. Then she will cut mine out and just submit her parts.

I would like to thank everyone who sent PM, this was a great experience to see just how the process of two voices work together, when you haven't met, or have some kind of personal experience with them.

Again, as said this was for practice purposes, having never done a two part, I can see how much fun this was, and the importance of envisioning the actual event.

Tom, I played the copy to my family, they were blown away with how well it worked, thanks, I looked forward to editing and playing with this piece, once I'm back on my feet.

You are very welcome Lynne....glad I could be of some help to you. It actually is quite a nice piece all put together....we did sound good together. I didn't have the British accent but I don't think that deficiency stood out....it sounded pretty normal to me...your accent with mine.

Tom, Colin, George, By the way having read the full post, I chuckled. I don't remember having this much fun since teenage years. And just having had surgery yesterday, the doc said the best healing comes from laughter, so, thanks for the laughter!
And if anyone takes this as being offensive, sorry, we are all adults, and if you dont like it, then change the channel.

The thing is... is that it is sophisticated humor. You have to 'read between the lines" as it were. It's only there for you to get if you already get it.

Yes... but we don't come right out and say it. You have to "think about it."
