Hey guys and gals,

Yet another voice talent here, one from the wet and windy UK (yes we really do talk a lot about the weather).
Due to trying to obtain a new microphone I don't have my demo completed, was supposed to have this sorted last Friday but life happens Smile

Been acting amateur theatre 10 years and amateur Voice for a year and now making steps to get a little pro work in.

Been reading the boards for a few weeks and can't wait to really make a start professionally. The advice and community here is great so hi to all and look forward to making lots of friends!!

Cheers,

Dan

Welcome Dan,

This sponsored site by Voice123 was conceived with the idea of having a place in which to communicate in a more active way, where you can participate in open discussions, submit your inquiries, ask technical questions, suggest new ideas, get critique and feedback on your profile and demos, look for help and help others, find new information related to the industry or just share your mind.

We really want voice over Savvy Forum to be a gathering tool for the voice over community and a great resource for you.
We are hoping to see you around.

Hi Dan, great to see another Brit, you will gain much from the forums here.

Where are you in the UK, I grew up in the Infamous High Wycombe, Bucks, which up until last summer was a sleepy little town!

Welcome to the shark tank, Dan. I don't mean the forum, obviously, since this is where we bask. But out there...out there, laddie, there are dozens of feeding frenzies a week; hundreds of voicers slashing, fighting, biting for every client morsel.
It's great fun.
Enjoy.
By the way, I thought I did Brit too, like Joe J. (for Jolting). But then She Who Must be Obeyed told me to stop it; at once. She's from Ormskirk, and could take no more of my mangled Inspector Clousseau/John Cleese/Jabbar the Hut hybrid.
Voice On!

Hehe, thanks for that, I like the shark tank analogy. I think I have a long way to go before I take my training wheels off but we gotta start somewhere hehe.

I'm in favor of a Mangled King's English thread!
Any takers?

Joe:
If you would be so righteous as to launch a thread wherein we might mangle the King's English, I should be ever so happy to participate, with the proviso that my British mate never be made cognizant of my continuing and underhanded efforts at appearing, in fact, to be British.
Go Arsenal!
Eh, wot?
Vocalize Rather Continuously!

So let it be written, so let it be done!
Forthwith and heirsuite thou art commanded to pay visitation to the "Chit-n-Chat" area, by pain of torture of thy dangly bits!

Ah, seems like there are several ex-Brits over there, could it be the weather driving people away from this wonderful climate in the UK? Smile
