Has this happened to anyone else?
Yesterday, July 2 about 12:20 AM, I got my usual message from Voice123 Support summarizing what Smartcast sent to me on the day before, July 1. They list 'Projects That Matched Your Profile' and 'Projects That Didn't Match Your Profile'. Daily there are about 5 to 6 projects under the 'Matched' heading, usually not all of them released to me and I understand the reasons. Then there are the 'Didn't Match' and they include (for me) Female only, other than English - North American.
My 7/2/08 message showed only ONE project that matched my profile (unusual) and TWENTY that didn't match, also unusual. From among the 20, there were 10 projects that I was not surprised to see there, i.e. Female only, foreign language, certain file delivery requirements. But there remained 10 that really did match, of the sort that I had received and responded to in the past, that should have been in the 'Matched' group. BTW, the project that DID match? Hip Hop Palace Club, looking for an urban, imaging type voice. There is little in my profile that could have brought this lead in.
I sent an e-mail reply to 'The Team' asking for an explanation. The response was swift, but cookie-cutter. They blamed me for not having a profile that was detailed enough to match these leads. I recall the stern warning a few months ago from 'The Team' that we must be sure our profiles are enhanced or risk losing out on certain invitations. At that time I was careful to do just that, adding quite a bit of qualifying information. The "It's Your Profile. Go Fix It!" response doesn't explain what happened here.
So again, Has this happened to anyone else? |

I have no idea.....but I will say that I got the hip hop palace lead as well. I've haven't had time to get around to it though because I've been working on other leads that were for over a grand in money. |

I received this one too.
The only way they could have gotten me is the I have "hip" as a description of my voice, among many others which apply to the type of stuff I audition for IRL. |

David, a long time ago I opted out of any and all e-mails from this place other than, of course, direct contact by seekers sending a private invitation.
Thus I avoid the heartburn that notices like this generate. You've discovered that, of course, it's YOUR FAULT, not the site's, and that's that. End of story. End of 'customer service'.
Just quit receiving those summaries, audition for what you can, realize that this site, and others like it, are a tiny drop in your overall marketing bucket, and focus your energies in the most productive venues for you. _________________ Scott R. Pollak
