Hello again from sunny London... hope all is well.

Here's a question for which I know there is not a clean-cut answer, but I'm currently with Voice123, my membership expires at the end of this month. I've already allocated the money for a US based voice website... which do you think would be the best investment: Voice123, TOS or VO Planet? Or is there another site which I've missed? Maybe I should sign up to a couple?

I know it's pretty much luck of the draw whether the right work comes in during the membership period, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Cheers,

Paul

I am not a paying member yet to either site, so my opinion may not carry much weight, but I have done a lot of research for when I am ready to Move on up -- so to speak. The major turn off to Voice123 is the limitation of auditions. VOPlanet seems to be a more vo friendly site. It is unlimited auditions. In a World . . . ohh sorry, lol . . . in this business it is numbers that make the difference. I know these sites aren't our only source of revenue, but to me at least, no source should limited and our ability to further our profession.

Anyway, I am sure there are arguments for both, but thought I would toss my $0.02 in the mix.

I've been a paying customer with V123 since Feb 07, and I've got some excellent gigs through them.
Despite their faults, I've done ok through V123 so far.

I've been a paying customer with Voices since Feb 08, and I haven't got any work there at all but I'm willing to give it some time.

I don't know anything about VO planet.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
Steve

Hi Paul!

I would go with either V123 or Voices simply because of your accent and I think I've seen more jobs for British English here at V123. I don't think I've yet seen a project listed on VOP for a British yet. Whichever you choose, best of luck!!

I'd have to say V123. I've done quite well here. Too much of a cattle call on TOS.

Even though V123 employs Smartcast it has not limited my auditions. It does weed out those I'm not suited for but I would also do that myself. Just because you can audition for everything doesn't mean you should.

I'm also with VO Planet and VoiceCasting (it's affiliate). They simply do not have the same volume of leads as V123. I'm also with VoiceHunter as well but those leads are parceled out by the admin. and actually that's not a bad thing. They send you leads they feel you have a good chance of booking. Again, the volume isn't there but the audition to booking ratio is good.

Hope this helps!

Dina
