Thanks, guys! It was a beautiful day yesterday too - not too hot, not too cold, and clear ... Perfect weather for the fireworks in the evening. I hope you all have a fantastic Independence Day too! _________________ voice overs and Vocals by Jodi

Thanks Jodi!
I love the fact that Canada Day is so close to the US's Independence Day. It's a week of celebrating all across North America. I've been in Toronto and Montreal during Canada Day and adored the festivities. I'm so glad Canada is our dear next door neighbor. Esp b'c Robert Jadah is generous with the Moosehead beer. Canadian beer is much better than ours. And for our non alcoholic friends, you must take credit for ginger ale.

Ginger ale? Wow. You learn something new every day.
If you get a chance to taste some other Canadian beer, give a try to Rickard's White. My brother in law (he's in Alberta and used to work at the Molson's in Edmonton ... which I believe has since closed...) helped develop it - and it's *awesome* stuff - kind of citrus-y for the summer. _________________ voice overs and Vocals by Jodi

I'm sure you've heard of Canada Dry, well known for Ginger Ale and other bubbly soft drinks.
Rickard's White? Do they import it into the U.S.?
Whether they do or not, there is a huge difference from the Canadian brew compared to the beer imported to the states. IE: Canadian Ale in Canada kicks a$$. Love the flavor. We get it imported in the US, but it doesn't taste the same. The US version is watered down. Same rule applies for Grizzley. If you want to get a great Canadian beer, you've got to be in Canada to get it. You don't see BUDWEISER in Quebec for a reason. B'c it s**ks. _________________ AllisonScussel@comcast.net |

Canada Dry ...! Of course. Pardon the brain hiccup there.
I'm not really sure if they import Rickards White to the States. I'm pretty sure I've had Rickards RED there ... but I'm not a huge beer drinker, really, so it's hard to remember.
Of course, if you want the REALLY good beer, you need to go to Germany. But no more of THAT. _________________ voice overs and Vocals by Jodi

John...... Thanks so much for posting the Canadian Anthem. I've been asked to sing it this year a baseball game where I will also being singing about the stars and stripes. If anyone has any other versions of these anthems please send them my way. I would prefer to sing it in a higher key.
Thanks

no no no !!! the best canadian soft drink isn't 'canada dry ginger ale', its Bière d'épinette (Spruce Beer).. real tasty stuff .. kinda like sweet turpentine
goes great w/ a huge plate of poutine, and maybe some Ti Coq roasted chicken from Trois-Rivières ... mmmmmm, la poule.. _________________ "the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best." |
