Thanks Sid. What I'm finding is that now that I am back to doing this stuff all day long I am not overthinking it so much. Going more with the flow. Lettin' it all hang out. It's really a confidence thing.

Something change at your day job?

BTW, nice job on the credit union... nailed it vocally. I tried that one with the baseball sfx... no way they're getting all of that in a :30... although I tried... sounded really rushed though... and you just can't rush a down home Wilford Brimley read.

Dave... I don't want to give them a perfect 30 anyway. Sort of a "watermark." If they hire me, then they can explain how I am suppossed to do Wilfred Brimley in 30 seconds!

I agree with Colin. I never worry about hitting 30 etc (as a watermark). Nice job on the Library bond. B for brilliant. (And fun!)

Mr Jadah, always enjoy listening to your masterpieces. The actor who can nail nuance in a soft passage is always the winner in my book! Whisper on!

Have not had much to post lately. Here's an effort at a hospital image spot.

yet another Jamaican. Very Happy
must be the warm weather.

they wanted deep and resonant so I'm not sure if I hit the lows enough. I just have fun doing the accent.

Robert - I liked your second Raven read over the first... the first seemed a bit too weary... throughout - although If you started out that way and moved more toward the second read as the "fear factor" crept in ..... just a thought.

Here is my version...

Well September, I haven't posted in a while here either! Like AGES... But after your post (nice to hear you again!), I decided to throw mine out there with yours' Very Happy

Colin, those were definitely 2 of the best reads I've heard from you young man! NOW you're cookin'....

James, loved the accent - and speaking of accents, Melba your granny was great. Reminiscent of Euphegenia Doubtfire! Cool

Robert & Thom - always a treat to listen to you guys....

Thom......Great Raves for your Raven......there is just one nit picky thing. There was a pregnant pause at the beginning that a real audience might wait through.....but an impatient casting director might not....Having said that your work is brilliance as always:!: applaus

Perfection Thom....I mean PERFECTION. I once did a Halloween horror story read to a group of people and as I look back, I'm embarrased for myself after hearing you. You raise our standards. Thanks!

Thanks Colin Maggie, James, Sid, Deby.

Deby - I hear ya, but as the Raven was for a short film, I wanted to give the script dramatic pause and breathing room - as it was not under any particular time constraint. The timing seemed right to me. I think we tend to read too fast anyway, esp. if we are doing commercial work targeted for a 30 sec , 60 sec timeslice, then switch to narration, ...my thoughts anyway.

A simple on hold message... but they asked for music under...
I normally don't send produced auditions -- but did this time.
