Hi all,
I am entered into an online casting contest and this is my second post regarding the subject. At first I was skeptical but it is a actual contest for an audition for a SAG feature film. This is round three and my friend and scene partner Kimberly Amato and I have to be in the top three in order to audition for the producers. Then they record us and put up the audition clip in round 4 for more votes. In the end 4 Actresses, 4 Actors & and Director will be placed into a SAG film with a 3 million dollar budget. All from an online vote. I was doing surprisingly being in the top three but some people have turned this experience into an uncomfortable situation. Basically, derogatory remarks were made about my ethnic background and my character has been called into question because of my success at the site. We need to land in the TOP THREE in order to be sent to NYC this round. This round is "do or die" for the both of us. Originally, Kim and I were opting out of the competition with only days left. However, we are sticking this out together until the end. What I am asking is, if possible, for voiceoversavvy.com members to register and vote. I was hesitant to approach voiceoversavvy.com again asking for help with votes believing that some members of the LM online community would base their votes on talent. When the comments became personal, I finally realized I needed outside help. Below are some instructions on how to vote.

How to VOTE YES:
1- Register with livemansion.com
2- search for amanda ramirez
3- vote YES for her as SABRINA & MEE-GAN
4- search for kimiekat76
5- vote YES for her as REBECCA

OR

You can go to this website for EASY VOTING INSTRUCTIONS AND LINKS -
http://www.juch.org/vote.htm

You can see the video clips and other contest rules here -
http://www.kimberlyamato.com/livemansion.html - you can download our
press kit here as well.
If people do wish to vote, but don't want to be active on the site. They can make their page private by going to the "edit my profile" tab and check off the box that says"I only want my friends to see my profile." Round three(3) ends January 26, 2007. Any questions, doesn't hesitate to ask.

Thanks so much for your time,
Amanda Ramirez

Amanda,
I saw your first posting and left well enough alone.
But I do want to explain why I'm going to ignore your second posting also.
Firstly, there are many talents here plugging earnestly away at postings, butting voices and winning or losing jobs on the basis of THEIR PERFORMANCES.
It is almost thoughtless to ask us to help usher you along on the basis of a popular vote.
Nobody here works like that. Few here will embrace it.
Secondly, and despite your confidence in this weird casting process, no serious show-business enterprise uncovers real talent in the manner you describe. It's only propaganda and hype. I'll not be part of that.
Thirdly, you now have a total of two pleading posts at this forum.
You've lent nothing else: no comments, no tips, no anecdotes, no stories. And this despite your obvious communication skills. Yet you suddenly appear and want us to lend you votes.
At the risk of sounding like a dusty old parent, I suggest you go out and earn something besides strangers' votes.
Be among the best. Audition, practice, audition, practice. If you have talent, you will get noticed.
Good Luck

Well said Robert.

Amanda, I couldn't even find a demo posted at voice123 so how do you expect people to take you seriously, let alone give their vote.

I thought this site was "moderated." This is pure spam.
