Most definately, Diane!
Anyone know any good microbrews in Denver? I'm heading there for the 4th of July and don't want to rely on Coors, although I don't mind it and will have to try it locally.

James-

New Belgium Brews are a big hit in Colorado. They may be in Fort Collins though.

And Boulder has Avery Brews which are also nice.
Breckinridge does a few - again not in the Denver metro.

And yes good rasta!

Hi Colin....this is good that your using a character voice and the voice is different... the only thing is you need to stop and start again and edit more because I can here the "transition" phase from one voice to another. One thing you can do is....

if it takes you a sentence to find the "new" voice make one up to say before the scripted line then just edit that out...That way your in character from the characters very first word....This gets easier and more effortless the more you do it.

Also how is the personality of the announcer different from the hick guy. For instance there is actually a Huge difference in the speech patterns and personality of Larry the Cable Guy VS Jeff Foxworthy ....there is more to a character than an accent.

Don't be discouraged though....I can hardly believe this from the same "announcer" dude I met a couple of years ago. You are getting better and better my friend. Very Happy

Deby... what GREAT advice!!!!

I am always hesitant to try this kind of thing.

One thing I thought of on my own before I read your message is that I should have read each part separately so that I could "stay in character," but I didn't do that. I kept ripping through it. I realized though that I couldn't remember how I read the announcer "the last time."

Always the producer, I try to figure out a more efficient way to accomplish the goal.

Maybe I'll try this production again using different methods.

THANK YOU... Deby.

Ahhhh Jamaica......I was more of a Negril hippy chick when I was there. I remember singing born to be wild on the back of an old rusty rented scooter that wouldn't do more than 45 miles an hour.....and eating raw suger cane stalks in the mountains....having a sunburn and feeling cold at the same time... total breit

When I was in negril they had a law that the tallest building could not be taller than the tallest tree. My hotel was booked for Montigo Bay....but they ran out of rooms....I was a little bummed that there was no surf there....but I learned how to snorkel with the best of them and saw a huge sting ray.

I guess I'm kind of babbling now.... I think it's the Percocets.....I'm not junky though....I just had major surgery.....Thought people might need to know....cause what I'm typing makes total sense to me......but maybe I'm not a good judge of that right now. Who knows what I'll type next....I'm just so bored with watching TV and eating jello.

I went in on Monday and got out yesterday afternoon and did this audition..... I got a low rating....but considering I had a tube down my throat for general anaethesia on Monday....I didn't think it sucked that bad....Please tell me if does suck though.....I had tubes everywhere for a while....I was totally tubular (80's humor). I'm allowed to work but I'm not allowed to drive.....and the day I got out the studio people I worked with on a night club commercial in NYC asked me to come back and do another commercial next friday. I think by then a train ride will be fine...I'm bouncing back pretty quickly...

I did some dancing footwork to this song today...I can't really stretch or do my yoga for 2 weeks though cause they filleted me like a fish....(is that the right word filet ed me)

They wouldn't let me wear make-up make to surgery....but here is me rocking the pre operative gown right before surgery.

LOL Deby...I hope you're alright and keep on postin'!
Loved the Sebastian read. Can't wait to see the finished product.

and thanks Dave and Jacob! It's been 20 years since I've been to Jamaica but I still remember the Flaming Bob Marley very well. Multiple colored layers of alcohol, lit on fire and down the hatch. What a kick, not sure what was in it though.
And I'll be on the lookout for those brews Jacob. prost

Much better Colin.... I would still change the tongue placement and pitch a little more to distinguish the hick and announcer guy on a technical level. (you got the acting down pretty good on this one)...make the announcers pitch a little deeper and perhaps more forward in the mouth. Or make the hick's tongue placement more in the back of the throat. Whatever works for you. Also making the announcer speak fast and the hick speak slow will add a difference to.... Very good though and your very welcome.... BLOWING big kisssses to you

MMMWAH Kiss

I would ask you to teach me that voice of God thing that you do.....but I think me trying to learn that one is a hopeless cause.

Explain... "forward in the mouth."
