Hi,
Wonder if anyone can help me. An audiobook I've read is going to be sold over the internet. I've offered the publisher a worldwide buyout figure, but he only wants the internet rights for New Zealand to begin with. Am I correct in thinking that internet rights HAVE to be worldwide, because you can access any site (to purchase anything) from anywhere in the world. By the mere fact that something is for sale ON the internet makes it available all over the world.
Stuck on this! Advice would be gratefully received.
Cheers,
Nick |

hi Nick!
It depends on the securities applied to the website.
For example, I can't buy anything from the US itune which really annoys me because the UK itune does not sell TV series.
So, yes, it is possible to restrict the sales to one country.
However, if I were you, I'd inform them that if they don't restrict the site, they'd have to pay the worldwide fee; then I'd check (Apple may have resources that they haven't got) . _________________ Claire Dodin voix off / French voice talent

Hi Claire,
Thanks for your advice. I reckon that's spot on.
Cheers,
